In recent years, the world recognizes even more the importance of biodiversity and in particular agricultural biodiversity and its role in the food and nutrition, agriculture and breeding sector. According to FAO, many species, which contribute to services Vital ecosystem, are declined due to the destruction and degradation of habitats, overexploitation, pollution, climate change and other factors. Algeria has a considerable heritage, in particular local domestic animal races including recognition must result in concrete and immediate actions. Among the main actions is awareness raising, which is essential to make local breeds better known, the importance of their roles and their values in agrifood systems. It is thus essential and necessary to reserve them special attention because of their threat status through specific orientations for their sustainable use, their development and their conservation.
